Amardeep never fails to establish himself at the centre of any team. He works exceedingly hard, is patient to a fault, and has an attention detail second to none. He apparently produces wireframes in his sleep, or those moments when others are blinking or saying 'um'. He is unassuming, always popular with clients, and without doubt a superb designer. He often wears a lanyard saying 'Made in Brunel' and I find myself thinking "they must run an amazing programme there".

I have lead numerous with Orange working on client side. Projects included web applications and mobile design solutions.

This diverse client provided the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, exploring ideas, business, market, customer insight and implementing UE approaches, user testing sessions via focus groups and card sorting exercises based on web and mobile prototypes.

Flora required conceptual designs for a widget to illustrate health awareness tools that could be distributed and downloaded as a package rather than individual tools. At this phase of the project high level scamps and wireframes where produced based upon existing personas and targeted audience. This project had an extremely tight deadline of one day.

Monday Mash was a hour per week session were volunteer speakers from Creative and external organisations share knowledge in relation to interesting things going on in industry, inflight projects, experiences, ideas and concepts that they feel are important to their profession and the future. These were discussions to encourage more interactive and stimulating discussions and have aided the Detica culture and sense of belonging within the Creative team.

We directly influenced the clients long term customer strategy by identifying what the product proposition ‘is’ and what it ‘is not’. Performing ethnographic studies, used to create personas and customer life cycle models we captured the essence of the proposition for the online solution which later materialised to a mobile application.

Performing primary research during the exploration phase placed users at the heart of the design process.

Unique Health iPhone app is an intelligent and responsive personal trainer. This app is competing in a highly competitive market therefore it was important to discover and enhance is core purpose and differentiator.

Once understood we amplified and endorse this thinking throughout the design. This app tailors to the users behaviour and tendencies, offering GPS suggestions for places to workout. Encouraging the consumer to believe in themselves and gain trust with their trainer.

I provided 3 with have monthly analytics based on web traffic to 3.co.uk using Google analytics web application. This packs were extremely insightful highlighting heat maps, emerging trends, demographics, popular key word searches, number of site visitors, competitor analysis, measuring success rates of end to end journey conversion on transactions, campaigns, promotions. These reports provide a measurement record of success and failures. Within a short period of time these reports helped steer the company’s online strategy.

When I was a child I wanted to fly into outer space and meet an alien. However I discovered my fascination with space wasn’t limited to the final frontier but is virtual and limitless.

The way we use space in design to manipulate how we interoperate, perceive and interact with things is unique. The human factor of decision making and cognitive thinking in terms of usability and design has given me aspiration beyond the stars. Urban Spaces was my final year thesis at university looking at “How decision making affects navigation and design”.
